Sometimes I wonder if the amount of effort of drawing fairly surface-level slapstick comics really are worth it - Sure, they're fun to draw, but I'm not sure they're as much to read. The ideal is of course to have a story contain multitudes: gripping story, fun visual gags and slapstick, relatable situations, deep characters etc... but that's obviously a lot harder than throwing some pain gags together! I would like to expand my repertoire in the future, though... since I think the slapsticky stuff doesn't work as well in comics as it does in animation.
